Everyone colored as they waited for Brian Lies to read his book Bats at the Beach. |

He then talked about writing and illustrating and showed the original paintings from the book. |

| He demonstrated illustrating and even got ideas for an illustration from the kids. As he drew the image of a bat fishing, we were all suprised when he turned it over to show us what the bat was actually doing - fishing from under a bridge! | |

Brian signed books while kids made their own delicious "Bugmallows." What a fun morning at the Winslow House! |
