The Winslow Connection to the Cut River Canal
Edward Winslow served as a member of the Plymouth General Court from 1624 - 1646. He was elected governor of Plymouth Colony in 1636 and worked on revising the laws of the colony at that time. This was the same year the Plymouth General Court ordered the Cut River Project, which was the first canal in America and America's first Public Works project. For more info, click here.
