There has never been a better time to support the Winslow House than now!  This year marks the 91^st anniversary of the house being open to the public.  To help celebrate this special occasion, we are featuring a diverse and engaging calendar of lectures, entertainment, children’s programming, and unique special events.

 

The historic 1699 Winslow House has become more than an historic home as it has morphed into a cultural institution which hosts some of the most diverse community programs on the South Shore.  This unique blend of history and culture continues to draw audiences of all ages from throughout the region.

 

The schedule features a broad assortment of lectures and appearances, including the Tuesday morning Coffee Hour series, the Friday evening Java Series.  Our highly popular children’s series of events will also return for 2011.  Some of our most sought-after events are our special evenings – ranging from a beer-tasting to a full sit-down turkey dinner – which give people a very unique way to enjoy the house.

 

We are excited to announce our participation in two new ventures this year designed to both to expand our reach and to solidify our reputation as a dynamic cultural institution on the South Shore. First as a campus for Marshfield’s inaugural year of Life Long Learning, “Windows to Opportunities.” which we hope will introduce adult learners to new topics and highlight the value of historic properties such as the Winslow House.  At the end of the season, the house will be host to Bookstock, a one-day festival of writing and reading.

 

Sponsorships of our events provide vital support to our non-profit organization. Event sponsors allow us to focus our revenues on the upkeep of this historic home while providing you an opportunity to connect with a target audience made up of people who are committed to supporting local institutions.  Through sponsorship, you will be recognized as an ally of important cultural programming in the region.  As a sponsor, your signage and logo will be displayed, your materials will be distributed during the event, and you will receive recognition on our website and in any advertising.
