Tour Hours


Seasonally, the historic 1699 Winslow House is open for guided tours led by Winslow House staff and docents. On days when the museum is open, tours are offered on the hour at 1 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM and last between 45- 60 minutes.

Summer 2017:

The Winslow House  is open for public tours. Our schedule of tours is at 1 PM, 2 PM and 3 PM  on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tours may also be scheduled by private appointment for other times (please see below).  Please check our Facebook Page or front web page to verify times.

Themed Tours – August 2017:

View the Winslow House from a new perspective this August as our Sunday Tours will highlight the history of the House from new angles.

Each tour is approximately 45 – 60 minutes.

In 1920 the House was purchased by the Winslow Associates (Edward Ford, John Gutterson, and Edgar Sherril) and it’s restoration project began.


Standard Tours:

Space is limited to ten people on a standard tour. Reservations are not required, but are recommended on weekends; reservations may be made by emailing or calling 781-837-5753.

Group Tours:

We offer group tours for schools, families, and community organizations; reservations are required and may be made by emailing or calling 781-837-5753. For schools and youth organizations, one chaperone is required for every 15 children.

Tour Prices:

  •  Adult– $5
  • Child– $3
  •  HWHA Member– Members of the Historic Winslow House Association get in for free!

Weather Policy:

On occasion, extreme weather conditions can prevent the house from operating during regular tour hours. To ensure the safety of both guests and museum docents, tours may be canceled or postponed at the discretion of the Executive Director. Should a tour be canceled or postponed, information will be posted on the museum’s website and Facebook page.
