WINSLOW HOUSE WELCOMES JESSICA DOUGHERTY AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Join the Winslow House Association in welcoming our new Executive Director, Jessica Dougherty,  Jess hails from Albany, New York. She began her love affair with history at an early age as one of the youngest volunteers at the Rensselaer County Historical Society. A lifelong lover of the arts, she received her MA in Applied Drama from Royal Holloway University of London. Although preoccupied with Victorian England for most of her education, she gained a passion for the origin story of America whilst working at Plimoth Plantation as a museum educator and interpreter.

To those who are familiar with Winslow House programming, Jess may be a familiar face!. She met her husband, Aaron Dougherty, in 2010 at Plimoth and joined him at Winslow as a volunteer and member of the programs committee when he became director in 2014.

Jess is looking forward to utilizing her experience in arts programming to continue and evolve programs she led and supported while volunteering. Jess was behind several popular programs over the last few years including the 1920 Speakeasy, and Haunted Tavern Night. She can be reached at director@winslowhouse.org.
