About the event
Peter Arenstam is the Executive Director of the John Howland Society and the Howland House in Plymouth. Â He has had a vast and unconventional career, which includes boat-building and the sailing of the Mayflower II itself. Â He has also taught boat-building classes and is a children's book writer. Â Peter will talk about our Marshfield Howland. Â Arthur Howland was a non-conformist, a Quaker, and had many problems with the town government. Â His brother, John Howland fell overboard from the Mayflower and survived. Â Hear the story of these two brothers. Â Arthur Howland's house still stands on South River Street in Marshfield.
