About the event

Peter Arenstam is the Executive Director of the John Howland Society and the Howland House in Plymouth.  He has had a vast and unconventional career, which includes boat-building and the sailing of the Mayflower II itself.  He has also taught boat-building classes and is a children's book writer.  Peter will talk about our Marshfield Howland.  Arthur Howland was a non-conformist, a Quaker, and had many problems with the town government.  His brother, John Howland fell overboard from the Mayflower and survived.  Hear the story of these two brothers.  Arthur Howland's house still stands on South River Street in Marshfield.
