About the event

Jason Zimmer, District Supervisor for the MA Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, will give a presentation on the history of the Marshfield State Game Farm.  In the 1890s, in an area south of the Ventress Memorial Library, was a 25-acre farm where ducks, geese, pheasants and qual were bred and raised as part of a program to propogate wildlife.  For those who remember the game farm, it will bring back many memories.  For those curious about Marshfield's rich history, this talk will be heavy on some really cool comparisons of historic and current photographs.
