About the event
Join local author Mark Ciccone for an evening as he discusses his latest book, which features familiar locations, modern oyster farming, Pilgrim history, and a real ship constructed in Marshfield in 1830.
When wealthy investor Fred Peterson is discovered dead in an oyster shed floating in Duxbury harbor, the police conclude it was due to an accidental fall. However, after Peterson's nephew, Jake Pavlik from Ohio, inherits his uncle’s historic harbor home, he begins to suspect otherwise. As Jake learns more about the uncle he barely knew, he uncovers several townspeople who might have had motives to kill this complex and secretive man.
Narrated in the quirky voice of Jake, who has his own issues, Murder on the Bay is a whodunit filled with twists and turns. Yet it is more than that; it tells the story of an old house and a real town dating back to the earliest days of America.
