Spring Faire and Market

Horticulture, agriculture, artists and artisans working their crafts and selling their wares. Vendors will use tools & techniques from days gone by. We will have gift baskets to raffle made from our vendors & friends. There will be food and beverages from Boofa's for sale. Admission is free!

About the event

Vendors and artistans include:

Local beekeeper, Kenny Pearl, selling his delicious honey and beeswax candles

Winslow House board member, Judy Johnson, selling homemade pot holders

Rebekah Lane selling starter plants for your garden, including flowers and veggies

Julia Chase selling organic craft kits for kids

Nancy Field, who will have fresh herbs from her garden for sale

Kevin Dunn selling hand carved wooden birds

Locally harvested eggs from Fowl Play Farm will be for sale

Copper engraver, Andy Volpe will be giving demonstrations

Winslow House board members will host a "more than books" sale with books, puzzles and games

Local 4-H kids will be here showing their animals

Entomologist, Blake Dinius will be sharing everything he knows about Monarcch butterlies

Kerry Richardson will be on hand selling Organic Plant Magic

Lyle (Skip) Waite will be making and playing Indian flutes

Sandra Sweetser does hand-painted greeting cards

A "sheep to shawl" exhibit will take you through the process of making yarn.  Michelle North of North Star Farm will demonstrate how to shear a sheep, then the Rhode Island Spinners Guild will wash and card the wool, and complete the process by showing how the raw wool is then spun into yarn and finally knitted into clothing!  The Spinners Guild will have some hand-spun, knitted items for sale.

Children can play 18th-century toys and games such as Jacob's Ladder, Cat's Cradle and "Rolling the Hoop."  Kids and kids at heart may then try their hand walking on a pair of hand-made wooden stilts.

Lunch offerings will be created and sold by Boofa's of Green Harbor.

Adult beverages will be for sale, as well as non-alchoholic refreshments.

A tour of the historic house will be offered at 2:30pm.
